The greatest England cricket hero of recent years, a Hollywood actress and one of the BBC’s very own Dragons will be amongst those helping to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care, at the Pure Leisure Group’s Caribbean Ball this weekend.
To celebrate the fifth annual charity ball, John Morphet, Lancashire entrepreneur and owner of Pure Leisure Group, decided to take on a slightly different theme by transforming his own home into a Caribbean extravaganza, where nearly 300 guests will be treated to an evening of entertainment and serious money raising in the charity auction.
Actress Emma Samms, who shot to fame as Fallon Carrington Colby in US supersoap Dynasty, will be bringing some Hollywood glamour to the event again this year while Lancashire and England sporting star Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff and his wife Rachael will provide a local celebrity presence.
Entrepreneur, and now more famously known as one of the Dragons on the BBC2 series Dragon’s Den, Duncan Bannatyne, will be on hand to encourage guests to part with their cash and help raise as much money as possible.
Prizes are set to include: a luxury holiday at Royal Westmoreland, Barbados; a Lotus driving experience at Croft Circuit; a Chopard diamond pendant; one of Freddie Flintoff’s test match shirts, signed by the great man himself; beauty treatments; Fortnum and Mason hampers and much much more!
